w/c 23 March 2020
It was so tricky getting certain ingredients last week (specifically chicken) that I had to go to 6 different shops to get the chicken I needed for my Chicken & Chorizo dish which was hardly in keeping with either the spirit or the letter of social distancing so I had resolved that I wasn’t going to be able to offer my weekly menu this week. However, as a result of a bit of a mix up with my Ocado delivery, I now have an embarrassment (I feel that might be the correct collective noun in these times of selfish hoarding) of chicken breasts.
Therefore, I propose to offer a very limited menu based on my chicken stockpile, the bounty of my surprise Ocado order and store cupboard ingredients.
You can either collect from my front door step or I can deliver to yours. Obviously I won’t be making any deliveries to Duncombe this week since the children are not in school. I make no delivery charge on orders over £15.
So here goes:
Roasted tomato & thyme soup – £5 for a generous 2 person portion
Chicken, leek, mushroom and tarragon puff pastry pie (individual pies £5.50, for 2 £10, large pies (serves 6-8) £30. (I’m afraid I’m limited on the size of the foil containers available so to make pie for 4, I would have to make 2×2).
Broccoli & Stilton quiche – £9/16
As ever, please place your orders by 5pm tomorrow (Tuesday 24th). This week, I will be cooking on Wednesday 25th so orders can be collected on Wednesday evening (25th) or during the course of Thursday (26th). Deliveries by agreement.
Please advise of any dietary requirements at the time of ordering.
